A Little About Me
Hello, I’m Kristen Schrack. I was born and raised in Montgomery & Chester County Pennsylvania. I have lived here most of my life, with the exception of some time spent outside of Raleigh North Carolina and Clearwater Florida. My passion is travelling and meeting new people from different parts of the country. I have never traveled outside of the country, but I plan on it! I have an obsession with all things Disney and have been to Disneyworld & Disneyland more times than I can even recall. I collect tropical and rare houseplants with interesting colored foliage. I have two senior Chihuahuas that I cherish and they have also been lucky enough to have traveled everywhere with me.
How I got into Design & WordPress Development
After working in finance & accounting for a decade and receiving my degree in Liberal Studies with a focus on Business, I realized that I was unhappy within my field and mentally exhausted. I needed a flexible career where I could work remotely and give myself a more appropriate work/life balance. I decided to make a drastic career change to use the artistic & creative side of my brain in addition to the analytical side. This is when I started my transition doing freelance social media management which evolved into maintaining existing websites. I did this for over 4 years. I am now a self taught web designer and WordPress developer. I have dedicated the last 4+ years to refining my design and development skills using every tool available. In that time, I have built a close network of digital designers and developers located throughout North America, Europe and APAC. I continue to take CE courses and attend various seminars and conferences around the country to make sure my skills and knowledge in design and development trends stay current.
